Nel 2022 CampoBase ha deciso di focalizzare la sua ricerca sul tema dell’esaurimento attraverso il programma ESAURITE! che si svolgerà nel corso di un anno in diverse tappe.
Per MANIFESTIAMO di Villa Romana, prima tappa del progetto, CampoBase propone un workshop di tre giorni dedicato a questo tema. A essere esaurite sono: le persone, le risorse, le energie. Come vedere la questione dell'esaurimento come un'opportunità di azione e non solo come un fattore limitante?
Partendo da queste domande, CampoBase estende temporaneamente il collettivo e ingloba membri provenienti da diversi ambiti disciplinari con lo scopo di innescare una riflessione collettiva sul significato e il valore del termine esaurimento.
I membri estesi di questo evento sono: Irene Adorni, Fred Fumagalli, Carolina Gestri, Lorenzo Lunghi, Nub, Davide Sgambaro.
Le sessioni laboratoriali di ricerca porteranno a un terzo momento di confronto condiviso, aperto al pubblico.
MANIFESTIAMO è un format collettivo che comprende installazioni, workshop, tavole rotonde, film e talk.
MANIFESTIAMO invita il pubblico ad appuntamenti incentrati su diversi focus tematici. Gli incontri si terranno a cadenza settimanale, da maggio a luglio. I partecipanti sono ex borsisti di Villa Romana, artisti membri dell’Associazione Villa Romana, artisti e collaboratori provenienti dal territorio, ricercatori e artisti invitati a specifiche commissioni, nonché i membri dello Haus der Kulteren der Welt (HKW) di Berlino e dello African Diaspora Cinema Festival (ADCF), che sono partner del progetto.

The different aspects of daily life are nowadays crossed by a certain kind of fatigue, an affective tonality in which we are immersed while we continue to move. From the work environment to the experience of public life, we are constantly driven by the logic of hyper-productivity and hyper-mobility.
In 2022, CampoBase decided to focus its research on the issue of exhaustion through the program ESAURITE! which will take place over the course of a year in several stages.
For MANIFESTIAMO at Villa Romana, which represent the first stage of the project, CampoBase proposes a three-day workshop dedicated to this theme. In a moment in which people, resources and energy are being fully drained, how can we see the issue of exhaustion as an opportunity for action and not just as a limiting factor?
Starting from these questions, CampoBase temporarily extends the collective and incorporates members from different disciplinary fields with the aim of triggering a collective reflection on the meaning and value of the term exhaustion.

The research workshop sessions will lead to a third moment of shared discussion, open to the public.
The contribution produced will be an attempt to imagine new ways through which exhaustion can become a creative technique that challenges or alters the redundant rhetoric that ‘there is no alternative’.
MANIFESTIAMO is a collective format including installations, workshops, round tables, films and talks.
MANIFESTIAMO invites you to events with different thematic focuses every week from May to July. Participants are former Villa Romana fellows, artist-members of the Villa Romana Association, artists and collaborators from our neighbourhoods, researchers and artists invited to specific panels, as well as the HKW in Berlin and ADCF as collaborating partners.
