19:30 - 20:00: Discussione e domande dal pubblico
20:00 - 21:00: Patateo

After a year of programming in the space of Via Reggio 14, in October CampoBase brought his research through the streets of Turin, creating House of Displacement, a four-day festival spread in the areas of Borgo Rossini, Aurora, Porta Palazzo. The festival investigated the idea of displacement, a term used to describe the dysfunctions of advanced capitalist societies, both linked to tourist and migratory flows, and to the related phenomena of gentrification, in its psychological and social connotations of alienation.

Meet & Focus [2] intends to question the relationships that exist between events of this type and the urban realm in which they occur. Through the contribution of the invited guests, an attempt will be made to trigger a reflection on the dynamics and actors connected to the phenomena of gentrification and transformation of the city, starting from the case of Turin to broaden the gaze to other contemporary urban contexts.

Invited speakers that will intervene in the conversation will be  Michele Cerruti But, a researcher in urban planning who deals with the relationship between economy, territory and society, and, in particular, with local development and the relationship between city and production in the districts; Lucilla Barchetta, an urban ethnographer, whose research focuses on intersection between political ecology and urban studies, with a specific focus on the temporal dimensions of urban nature in contemporary cities; Bernardo Follini, co-founder and co-curator, together with Michele Bertolino and Giulia Gregnanin, of Il Colorificio, a space dedicated to research and artistic experimentation in a suburb of Milan, Giambellino, which is undergoing a process of urban transformation.
